Goetz, Henry L., Buffalo, was born in Orangeville, Wyoming county, N. Y., November 25, 1855, and was educated
at the Warsaw High School. His first business experience after coming to Buffalo in 1875 was as a clerk in a grocery
store. In 1879 he engaged in the grocery business in company with his brother, William Goetz, who died in 1890,
and who was succeeded by another brother, George E. Goetz; this copartnership still continues, the firm name being
Goetz Brothers, They are large wholesale and retail dealers, and are noted for their thoroughgoing business-like
methods. In August, 1894, Mr. Goetz married Margaret Stern, daughter of Philip Stern.
