Gould, Mrs. C. L., Colden.-Amos W. Gould was born in Colden, November 26, 1822, and is a son of John D. and Hannah Gould, and grandson of Asa Gould, who came to Colden in an early day, where he lived and died. Mr. Gould was a lumberman and farmer until 1862, when he moved to the village and engaged in mercantile business, also furniture and undertaking. In April, 1852, he married Caroline L. Cornell, daughter of Cyrus and Maria (Rugg) Cornell.
