Seaver, Joseph V., Buffalo, has been prominent at the bar and on the bench of Western New York for nearly twenty-five years. He was born and reared in Buffalo, and early evinced a desire to study law, and accordingly entered the office of Judge John L. Talcott and Delevan F. Clark, where he remained until admitted to the New York bar in Buffalo in 1873. In January, 1889, he was elected county judge for the term of six years. Judge Seaver, while on the bench, decided many important cases, always to the best of his ability and satisfaction of the general public. From the end of his period of service he has been engaged in the active practice of his profession.
