Stillwell, Mrs. Almira, Hamburg, p. o. Lakeview.-The late Amos F. Stilwell was born in Vermont in 1820, and caine with his parents to this State when a boy, where he learned the carpenter and joiner's trade. January 6, 1846, he married Almira Amsdell, and they had two daughters, Ella E. and Josephine L. Mr. Stillwell died January 16, 1864. Mrs. Stillwell's father, Abner Amsdell, was born in Deerfield, Mass., in 1794. July 4, 1818, he married Nancy Steward, and they had five children: Dexter, Almira, Francis, Arbella and Nelson. Mr. Amsdell was a soldier in the war of 1812, under General Porter, in Captain Knott's Company, as ensign, He died in 1891, and his wife in 1874.
