Tobie, Emile S., M. D., Buffalo, was born in the town of Forback, Alsace-Lorraine, July 21, 1863, and obtained
his education chiefly in France. He received the degree of M. D. from the Paris Medical Institute in December,
1888, and afterwards, in the hospitals of the French capital, acquired a thorough knowledge of every branch of
his profession. In 1889 he came to America and settled in Buffalo, where he has since been engaged in constant
and successful practice. Dr. Tobie is a member of the Erie County Medical Society and of the Buffalo Academy of
Medicine, lecturer on materia medica at the medical department of the Niagara University, and visiting physician
to the German Deaconesses Home. He is one of the most promising and rising physicians and surgeons of Buffalo.
