Volz, Edward G., Buffalo, was born February 22, 1864, and was graduated from the Buffalo schools in 1878, and
afterwards took a full course in German. After leaving school he was employed at various positions until he accepted
the postion as bookkeeper in the county treasurer's office, where he remained for five years. In 1895 he was elected
to the office of assessor, which he now holds.
