Warnke, Fred, East Hamburg, p. o. West Falls, was born in the kingdom of Mecklenburg, Germany, September 21,
1842. He was educated there and followed the honorable occupation of farming. He came to America in 1867 and located
in the town of West Seneca, Erie county, N. Y. January 12, 1868, he married Wilhelmina Eichstadt, formerly of his
native place, and they have eight children: Mary S., Emma C., Henry C., Martha A., John E., Hattie F., Anna M.
and Ella D. They bought their present homestead in 1872 and have resided here since. The family are all enterprising
and thrifty; they are the architects of their own success. In his political choice Mr. Warnke is a thorough Republican.
