Thomas Jeary, of Tunstead, County Norfolk, Eng., was born July 9, 1832, a son of William and Charlotte (Coman)
Jeary. He came to this country in June, 1854, and worked for Perry Randall, of Stafford, for five years. He was
self-educated, and purchased a farm, where he now resides, in 1876. He married, first, in 1862, Aneliza, daughter
of Peter Harder, of Monroe County. They have two children, Jessie and Georgia. His second wife was Mrs. Abbey S.
Cox, widow of Edward Cox, whom he married in January. 1882. She was a daughter of Ephraim and Fidelia (Wood) Mick,
of Carthage, N. Y. Ephraim was a son of Michael Mick, a native of New Jersey, and whose father came from Holland.
The father of Thomas Jeary came to the United States in 1857, locating in Stafford. He reared eight children, viz.:
Mary Ann Toliman, of England, Thomas, who died in the army, George, Frank, Margaret Hunt, of Illinois, Elijah,
Fred C., and Ellen Newcomb. Mr. Jeary has been quite successful in life. He and his wife are members of the Presbyterian
Church.
