Thomas Gibson, of Ireland, the father of Thomas Gibson, Jr, John, Nancy, Eliza, Jane, and Mary, died at the
age of 75 years. Thomas. Gibson, Jr., lived and died in Ireland. He married Mary, daughter of Simon Swayles, and
his children were Mary A., Eliza and Jane, twins, Rachel, and John. John Gibson was born in County Down, Ireland,
came to America in 1850, and to Oakfield in 1866, settling on a farm. He married Harriet, daughter of Robert and
Harriet (Ringland) Newell, of Ireland.
