Alonzo H. Farrar was born in Middletown, Vt., in 1843. He was educated at Burr & Burton's Seminary, Manchester, Vt., and also at Fort Edward Collegiate Institute. He graduated at the University of Law, Albany, N. Y., and went to Kinderhook, Columbia County, in 1866, to practice law, continuing there until 1889. He was elected member of Assembly for two years from Columbia County, and was for 10 years director and vice- president of the National Bank of Kinderhook. He moved to Batavia in 1889, and commenced the practice of law, where he now resides.
