Benjamin A. Fuller, M. D., born in Providence, R. I., November 17, 1845, was a son of Asa W. and Nancy A. (Woodworth)
Fuller. At the age of five years he came to Middlebury with his parents. and received his education at the academy
there. In 1862 he came to Le Roy, entered the office of Gen. F. C. Bissell, read law for three years, and entered
and graduated in 1865 from the Albany Law School. He was in a law office in New York for three months, but the
business not suiting his taste he traveled for five years for George W. Bassett & Co. In 1870 he came to Le
Roy, studied medicine with his father, and attended the Buffalo Medical College, from which he graduated in 1873.
He began practice at Le Roy and Byron Center. In 1877, after his father's death, he succeeded him in his profession,
and has since been a successful practitioner here.He married, July 16, 1873, Alice I., daughter of H. O. and Jennie
Cowan, who came from England. Mr. Cowan was a merchant tailor. Dr. Fuller has a daughter, Clara Louise.
