Fargo, Adelbert B., p. o. Alexander, N. Y., son of Walter B. and Sarah M. (Covell) Fargo, was born in Warsaw,
Wyoming county, N. Y., October 28, 1857. His education was obtained in the public schools of his native town, supplemented
by a course at the Warsaw Union School. He is descended from James Fargo who settled at or near New London, Conn.,
early in the seventeenth century. His father was a farmer and it was quite natural that his son should take up
the same pursuit, which he did, and has been successfully engaged in farming since. On May 28, 1884, he married
Mary L., daughter of Sanford aud Ann (Thompson) Riddle; they have two children: George R., born May 17, 1886, and
Florence L., born March 5, 1888. Mr. Fargo is a member of Attica Lodge, No. 462, F. & A. M. He has lately been
appointed one of the Sidepath Commissioners for Genesee county under the bicycle law of 1899.
