Farley, Abiather, late of Le Roy, N. Y., was born in the town of Le Roy, August 16, 1839, a son of Byron and Lucretia (Stevens) Farley. His father was a native of Vermont and came to Genesee county in 1829, where he died in 1842. Abiather Farley was educated in the common schools and through life was a farmer. In an unostentations way he performed the duties of a good citizen, and was much respected in the community where he lived. He married Mary A., daughter of E. Niles, who bore him three children: Edwin D., Estel and Fenton, who survive him. His death occurred on February 8, 1899.
