Gillette, Charles L., was born in Orange county, N. Y., April 16, 1831, and is a son of Isaac and Eleanore (Vale)
Gillette. In 1854 he married Mary S., daughter of John Webber; they have four children: Isaac W., Harry L., Ralph
W. and Sophie E. Mr. Gillette received a common school education, has made a success of farming and has been especially
active in the temperance cause.
