the town of Bethany. where he lived for about twenty-eight years. Thence he removed to Le Roy, where he bought
and sold stock in connection with farming, remaining there about twelve years. Since then he has resided in Batavia
with the exception of one year spent in the West. In 1849 he was married to Rebecca, daughter of Asel Dow; they
have one daughter, Mrs. L. N. Smith of Watseka, Ill. Mr. Marsh is one of the practical and successful farmers of
his town. He served three years as assessor, and in various ways has given practical evidence of his interest in
his town's welfare; he bears an unblemished character and is popular in his community. Mrs. Marsh died December
11, 1897.
