Martin, William A., was born in Barry, Orleans county, N. Y., January 14, 1844,
75 son of William Martin of Orange county, who came to Orleans county in 1817 with his parents, William and Mary
E. Martin. William Martin married Sarah E.. daughter of Daniel Ross, and through life was a farmer; he died in
1893. William A Martin was educated in the common schools and in 1885 married Sarah E. Lines, who died in 1887.
He afterward married Ella E. Torrance; they have one son, Charles T. Martin.
