Moulton, Orsamond B., p. o. Alexander, N. Y., was born in Alexander, Genesee county, N. Y., August 9, 1833.
His grandfather, who came from Massachusetts in 1810, was among the first settlers of that town, then almost a
wilderness, and was subjected to all the privations, toil and difficulties peculiar to pioneer life. Orsamond B.
is a son of Lewis and Melvina (Benedict) Moulton, and has spent his entire life upon the farm, with exception of
ten years during which he was employed by the Big Four and the Lake Shore Railroad Company, from 1861 to 1871.
Since that time he has been successfully engaged in farming. In February, 1855, Mr. Moulton married Emily, daughter
of David and Minerva (Bradway) Thorp; they have two children: Elliott, who is a station agent for the D., L. &
W. Railroad, and Emma, wife of Clarence Vrootnan of Alexander. Mr. Moulton is a member of Bethany Grange, and holds
the office of highway commissioner of the town.
