John Steiner, a native of Switzerland, who emigrated to Monroe county in 1850, and Magdalena Straham, his wife.
He died in 1873. Samuel Steiner was educated in the common schools and engaged in the locksmith business for five
years. In 1849 he came to Monroe county, and to Le Roy in 1873, where he engaged in farming. He married Katherine
Marvan, who died in 1889. Mr. Steiner is one of Le Roy's progressive farmers, whose career has been marked by integrity,
industry and a desire to promote the well-being of the community in which he resides.
