Guy, Walton B., was born in Victory Mills, Saratoga county, February 5, 1856, a son of Sydney S. and Anna M.
(Haight) Guy. His great-grandfather, Ambrore Guy, served in the Revolutionary war. Mr. Guy received a liberal education
in the public schools of Washington county and was graduated from the New York Mutual Optical School. In 1893 he
came to Saratoga Springs and engaged in his present practice, where he is the leading optician in that part of
the State and makes regular visits to fourteen different towns, in all of which he has a large practice, besides
doing all the important work in his line at Saratoga Springs. He is a prominent member of the Masonic fraternity
and has passed through the Blue Lodge, Chapter, Council, Cornmandery and Shrine. In 1876 Mr. Guy married Florence
Davidson of Sandy Hill, and they have one son, Ross D.
