Lamb, James E., was born in the town of Ballston, March 23, 1835. His father, Joseph Lamb, was born in the town
of Halfmoon, Saratoga county, in 1779, and his grandfather, Joseph Lamb, moved from Dutchess county to Halfmoon
in about the year 1790. James E. has lived in the town of Malta since 1871, having resided in Halfmoon before that.
March 1, 1873, he married Susan A. Olmstead of Maltaville. and they have one son, Otis E. of Maltaville, who married
Margaret Wood of Clifton Park. Mr. Lamb has been supervisor of the town of Malta three terms and served as commissioner
of highways two years. Besides being engaged in farming he conducts a saw mill at Maltaville, and is a director
of the Manufacturers National Bank of Mechanicville.
