Hawes, W. P, is a native of Jefferson county, and was for some years engaged in the coal, wood and lime business.
In 1888 he became proprietor of the Windsor Hotel and has made it one of the most popular houses on the St. Lawrence.
He gives his personal attention to the management of the hotel, which has a capacity of 150 guests and is strictly
first class in every department. Mr. Hawes is a member of the Odd Fellows, both subordinate lodge and encampment
and also of the Foresters. He is a genial and popular gentleman and his house is a great favorite with the public.
