Jenks, Henry V., was born in Worth, November 3, 1834, a son of Boomer K. and Clarissa (Herrick) Jenks. natives of Vermont and came to Rodman, where they married, coming to Worth about 1820, where they both died. Mr. Jenks was a Demo. crat and commissioner and assessor of his town; he was one of the leading farmers and had about 200 acres of land. Henry V. Jenks was reared on a farm and educated in the common schools. He is a farmer and owns 200 acres of land, with a dairy of thirty cows. FIe married Jane E. Fox of Worth, and they had three children: Alida, Edwin D. and Grace. Mr. Jenks is a Republican in politics and has been commissioner of highways and supervisor of the town four years, the town being Democratic. He is a member of Rodman Lodge No. 506, F. & A. M., and of the I.O.O.F.
