Kellogg, Samuel B., was born in the town of Rodman, April 7, 1847, and was reared on a farm and educated in
the common schools of his native town. In the summer of 1864 he enlisted in Co. C, 186th N. Y. Vols., and served
until the close of the war. Returning to Rodman he purchased the grist and saw mill at Worthville in 1866 of his
father and engaged in milling and lumbering. In 1866 he married Nancy C., daughter of Charles G. and Betsey (Fox)
Wilcox, and they have one daughter, Helen Louisa, born in September, 1869, and educated at Union Academy and Hungerford
Collegiate Institute. Mr. Kellogg has been town clerk, justice of the peace and supervisor five years, and is at
present sheriff of Jefferson county.
