Kenyon, Walter B., was born in the town of Ira, Cayuga county, June 17, 1852. His father, James Henry Kenyon,
was a native of Jefferson county, where his parents moved in the early days. James Henry married Mary, daughter
of Hodge Wendell, and through life was identified as a farmer; he died in 1863 from the effects of being bitten
by a mad dog. Walter B. Kenyon was educated in the common schools, and in 1874 married Caroline, daughter of Daniel
Fawdry, and they have one son and one daughter: David D. and Grace. Mr. Kenyou is one of the self-made men of Jefferson
county, a practical and successful farmer, taking an active interest in school and church matters and has ever
advanced the best interests of his town and its people.
