York, Anson E., established himself in business in 1860, removing from Boston,
Mass., to accept a position as bookkeeper for the firm of Eli Farwell & Co., where he remained until 1866.
In 1869 he formed a copartnership with Mr. B. D. Moore under the firm name of York & Moore, this firm being
succeeded by that of York & Starkweather and continuing until January 1, 1892, when it was succeeded by York
& Son, the present style. This firm is one of the largest in the city dealing in glass and glaziers' supplies.
Mr. York is a very social gentle. man and has a host of friends.
